A woman abandons her newborn baby on a corporate plane because she fears she won’t be able to care for him. However, when her situation improves several years later, she decides to find him and care for him.
“PREGNANT?! Are you crazy, Rhonda?” her father, David Harris, yelled at her when he found out she was expecting a child with her boyfriend Peter.
Rhonda, unlike Peter, came from a wealthy family, and her father owned a large textile company. Unfortunately, her mother died when she was just two years old, so her father raised her alone.
Mr. Harris provided his daughter with everything she needed: clothes, food, and an education, but he was also a very authoritarian man who never wanted his daughter to disobey his orders.
When Rhonda discovered she was pregnant, she tried to hide it from her father by wearing baggy clothes, but as her belly became more and more visible, she could no longer hide it. She decided to reveal the pregnancy to Mr. Harris, but he wasn’t happy about it. “You have to terminate this pregnancy, Rhonda. Do you understand?”
“No, Dad,” sixteen-year-old Rhonda declared firmly. “I’m not terminating this pregnancy. It’s too late, and I can’t give birth to the baby.”
