Line a baking sheet with baking paper and preheat the oven to 200°C.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry until it is about 2-3 mm thick.
Cut the dough into rectangles about 10 cm x 12 cm (4 x 5 inches), or whatever size you prefer.
Shape the dough squares into sticks by pouring the meat mixture onto one side.
Seal the filling by folding the dough over it and pinching the edges together. Press the edges down with a fork to seal them nicely.
Arrange the sausage rolls seam side down on the previously prepared baking sheet.
Step Three: Egg Cream and Egg Filling
To make the sausage rolls even shinier and more golden brown after baking, brush the tops with beaten egg.
For a crunchier and tastier topping, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
4. Prepare the dough:
Bake the sausage rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
After removing them from the oven, let them cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
5. Then enjoy!
Hot sausage rolls are perfect for snacks, light meals or appetizers. Add mustard, ketchup or your favorite dip and it’s perfect.
