A pretentious woman, a 72-year-old waitress, called me ‘rude’ and left with a $112 bill – I showed her she’d picked the wrong grandmother

It wasn’t lukewarm. I’d just poured it.
But I smiled and said, “Would you like me to get you a cold glass?”
“Yeah. And tell them to really put ice in it this time.”
I brought her a fresh glass. She didn’t say
thank you.
When I brought her the food, she was livestreaming.
She didn’t say thank you.
“Okay, the food just arrived. Let’s see if it was worth the wait.” She speared the salad with her fork. “This chicken looks dry. And where’s my extra sauce?”
“It’s next to it, ma’am.”
She looked at the small dish of sauce like I’d insulted her. “This is extra?!”
I brought more sauce. She didn’t notice.
“This chicken looks dry.”
For the next 30 minutes, she livestreamed herself eating and commenting.
“The lettuce is wilted. Two out of ten. I’m only eating this because I’m starving.”
The lettuce wasn’t wilted. I’d seen the cook prepare this salad myself.
When I brought the bill, she looked at it and her face twisted. “$112? For THIS?”
“Yes, ma’am. You had the salad, two sides, the dessert platter, and three drinks.”
She looked directly at her phone. “Guys, they’re trying to overcharge me. This is ridiculous.” Then she looked at me. “You’ve been rude this whole time. You’ve ruined the atmosphere. I’m not paying for this disrespect.”
