For many, stinging nettle is simply a troublesome weed that must be eradicated. For others, however, it is urban waste generated in public places. Stinging nettles grow in large quantities, and their impact on our health is truly inestimable.

Note: Harvest nettles before they bloom: they are stronger then (after the flower buds have formed). Choose young shoots only a few centimeters long.

Recipe:
• Using a wooden spoon, scoop the nettle into a 300 ml glass bowl until it is about three-quarters full. Add the alcohol (vodka or rakija).
• Seal the container tightly and let it rest for 4 days, pressing down the nettles with a wooden spatula every day.
• After mixing 4 times, filter through a cheesecloth.
