Step 5: Broiling
. Place the pan under the broiler for 3 to 5 minutes. Watch carefully: the cheese is cooked when it is completely melted, browned, and lightly golden on top.
Step 6: Garnish and serve.
Carefully remove the hot pan. Top with tomatoes, cilantro, and queso fresco (optional). Serve immediately with tortilla chips for dipping the still-melted cheese.
